The System Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role ensures the availability, security, and optimal performance of Windows and Linux systems, network infrastructure, and associated services, while adhering to organizational policies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration (Linux & Windows)

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Manage user accounts, access controls, permissions, and security configurations.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and capacity to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to maintain system integrity.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues, with primary focus on Linux-based systems.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and security standards.

Network Administration

  • Configure, manage, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
  • Monitor network performance, uptime, and security across all environments.
  • Implement and manage network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, and access restrictions.
  • Conduct routine network audits and health checks, recommending improvements where required.
  • Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, and other essential network services.
  • Ensure stable, secure, and efficient connectivity across LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.

Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in system and network administration.
